Please read the rules for using the saunas before your first visit — we care about your safety and the comfort of every guest at Apartamenty Szuflandia.
Part one
General information
The saunas are a zone available exclusively to guests of Apartamenty Szuflandia.
The saunas run on flexible hours. Most commonly from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week. Guests will be informed of the current opening hours each time.
Anyone in the sauna zone is deemed to have read these rules and agrees to follow them without exception.
A no-clothing policy applies in the saunas, so the zone is only available to guests aged 14 and over.
Before entering the saunas, every user must thoroughly wash their whole body with soap and dry off. Bathing should be done in your own apartment. Please leave all metal objects in your apartment, as they may cause burns, and remove glasses and contact lenses.
Taking photographs or filming inside the sauna zone is not allowed.
Every guest using the saunas is given a bathrobe, a towel and a pareo wrap.
The saunas may not be used by anyone showing external signs of infectious skin conditions (fungal infections, erythema, erysipelas, etc.), anyone with circulatory or respiratory conditions (varicose veins, ischaemic heart disease, asthma, etc.), epilepsy, claustrophobia or acute inflammatory conditions, as well as women who are menstruating or pregnant, or anyone with open wounds.
Important — health contraindications
Anyone with skin, circulatory or respiratory conditions, epilepsy, claustrophobia, acute inflammatory conditions, women who are pregnant or menstruating, and anyone with open wounds is asked to refrain from using the saunas for their own safety. Such persons use the saunas at their own risk, being aware of the health contraindications listed here.
Part two
Conduct in the sauna
Throughout the sauna zone, guests should wear flip-flops for safety and hygiene.
Guests enter the sauna and the steam bath barefoot.
Guests in the sauna zone are required to:
use the Finnish sauna nude or wrapped in a towel/pareo — any bare part of the body must be placed on fabric,
use the steam bath nude; rinse the seat before and after use,
use the ice well nude; take a shower before entering.
Seats in the dry sauna may only be used after covering them with a sauna towel.
Each sauna session should last 10–15 minutes, followed by a 5–10 minute break, with water intake replenished along the way.
After each Finnish sauna session, before showering the whole body, it is recommended to first cool down with lukewarm water and then cold water, always starting from the feet and moving gradually up towards the head.
The sauna zone is a quiet zone.
The following are prohibited in the sauna zone:
bringing in and consuming food or alcoholic drinks,
adjusting the temperature and humidity yourself,
climbing onto structural elements of the saunas not intended for that purpose,
bringing in any foreign objects,
smoking on the sauna terraces,
damaging the equipment,
using your own oils or fragrances to pour over the stove in the Finnish sauna,
indecent behaviour, or behaviour socially considered improper or offensive.
The owners of Apartamenty Szuflandia reserve the right to refuse sauna entry to anyone clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and to ask anyone not following these rules to leave.
If you notice the sauna is not working properly (e.g. too low a temperature), please call the apartment staff.
Sauna users are financially liable for any damage they cause.
Anyone using the saunas despite the health contraindications listed in these rules does so at their own risk. Apartamenty Szuflandia is liable for personal injury under the general rules of the Polish Civil Code.
